We visited Victoria July 13 with Greg's twin sister Colleen (smiley one on the left), and our niece Carly (the one that looks like a movie star). We went into the BC Museum and toured the Titanic display. We love going to Victoria - so much to see and do - always beautiful - no matter what time of year.

The Sumner Gang gather at the homestead on Salt Spring

All three of Greg's siblings along with Dan & Sharon's girls and their spouses and their children and Colleen & Kevin & their 2 kids and their significant others had a great time at Dad Sumner's for a weekend of fun and laughter. We had 21 gather Saturday and we slept all over the house (wherever we could find room for a bed, foamy and even two tents outside). It was like the old fashioned Walton Christmas.
Then on Sunday afternoon we invited the Stibbards and a few friends to join us for a pot-luck on the deck. That cranked our numbers up to 31. What a bee-hive of activity. We finished the night off with hilarity like the good ol days - we had a "retro fashion show" with some of Mom Sumner's old stylish clothes. We never laughed so hard.

We had people coming in from all areas to gather at Sean & Kendra's in Victoria for a family BBQ with Grampa "D" who came from Toronto as our star guest.
Cheryl Kelly arrived from Australia after being gone for over 2 1/2 yrs. Terna Daniel flew in from Madiera Park on the Sunshine Coast. Rachel and her two little ones, Kobi and Malia, came by van from Cranbrook with Karen (who was just in Calif. for two weeks of mission work). Brad & Meg and Jared & Sophie came over by ferry for a quick trip to the Island from Langley and we drove down from Duncan to take part in the gathering. We sat around and shared stories, looked at Cheryl's pictures and caught up on one-another's lives. We didn't have to go to the zoo...we are the Zoo!
