What Child is This

Colleen and I are involved in a play just south of Duncan at a small theatre called "Toad hall". We are part of the Pine Lodge Players - a group of 20 semi and non professional (we're in the latter group) who are doing a one hour play about the birth of Christ. it is very true to the message in the Bible and is a very classy version of the good old fashioned sunday school pageant. Greg is 'Gaspar' - one of the wisemen; and Colleen is a beautiful Angel (very fitting) We have enjoyed the new friends and after 9 performances over three weekends, we're glad it's over. It has been an experience we'll remember long from now.
A trip to Whistler

We went up to Whistler for a "Weekend to Remember" marriage conference (our third one we've attended since coming to the West coast). It was wonderful to get away together and learn more about marriage and one-another. We managed to get in a half day of skiing on both Whistler and on Blackcombe - the mountain trails were incredible and the view was spectacular.

Jared's 4th Birthday
Smile - we're trying out our new halloween dress-up costumes we bought in Duncan
My, aren't we a cute little angel. Little Sophie loves to get into Grammas plastics drawer.
Fireman "super hero" Jared in his new uniform.
Now that's an interesting birthday cake - cars and trucks and even motorcycles!
This is a fun party Grampa. I can blow this like you do for your saxaphone.

A new hobby...a dream comes true.
Here's our new acquisition. We are the proud woners of a (new to us) red 1964 1/2 Red Mustang coupe. It was made on April 30, 1964 - 13 days into the first month Mustangs were made in Canada. It needs a lot of work, but I have always enjoyed working on cars and look forward to stretching this project out for many years. It runs, has a six cylinder and we found it in Lake Cowichan (only 20 minutes from here).

These pictures are when we gathered with our old friends from Rolla Bible Baptist Church at their annual campout at Moonshine Lake campground near the BC AB border. To our srprise, we saw Rick O'Dwyaer and his new wife Lynne fromCalifornia. We also saw Bob And Karen Rempel who are on furlow from Paupau New Guinea. It was a wonderful time of sharing old memories and catching up on what each is doing. we also saw old friends like Stan & Charlotte Miller, Gary & Lynette Henderson, Wayne & Martha Tower and a lot of the 'kids' who have now grwon up and are having families of their own. What a wonderful time we had.

Trip to Dawson Creek - Sept 2007

We visited the 'ol stomping grounds', Belsum Auto Recyclers when we had a quick trip up to Dawson Creek Sept 7th - 9th. What a flash from the past! We, (Dan, Sharon, Colleen and I) spent 10 years building that business up together (from 1979 - 1989) with a lot of expertice from both of our backgrounds. I was in the service station development business and Dan's background was from 18 years with a major farm implement company. We invested our life's savings together and made a go for it. It was a lot of fun... and a lot of hard work...but it paid off. Dan is now interested in selling the business as he is now looking at spending more time on the farm and doing some travelling in the future. They love the Peace Country, so will stay on their acreage and enjoy life on the farm.

We visited Victoria July 13 with Greg's twin sister Colleen (smiley one on the left), and our niece Carly (the one that looks like a movie star). We went into the BC Museum and toured the Titanic display. We love going to Victoria - so much to see and do - always beautiful - no matter what time of year.
